Here’s some bookshelves that we’ve been drooling over:
I really enjoy this bookshelf concept. Taking an old wooden ladder and re-purposing it is a fantastic idea. I have a feeling this would work best in a rustic decor.
Although the pipes here are being used against a weathered background, I think this concept would work just as well with an industrial setting, or a very sterile environment.
Having a top-aligned bookshelf is a bit of a mind-twister. At first glance you feel like you’re looking at it upside down.
I don’t really know how practical this setup is. It seems as if we’re wasting a lot of space simply for aesthetics. I guess in the right house it would work.
Would have loved to have had this as a child in my room.
This “let’s hang the book different ways” is a running theme. I like it, but it would have to be set low enough where I could see the titles still. I have a feeling I would run into this a lot when turning a corner.
Now this is really unique. My hands twitch a little thinking about how that might scratch up the book covers. You would have to sand those wood blocks up awfully well.
The sheer simplicity of this one caught my eye. I may have to build this for myself.
A hanging bookcase. This looks like a shoe holder that’s simply been used for a different purpose. Whatever you hang this on better be really sturdy.
I think this is supposed to give the books the “floating in air” look. My penchant for order makes me want to straighten them all out.
A pretty cool way to display some of your favorite books. I like how adjustable it appears to be.
Another take on floating books. You’d have to choose a “waste” book for the bottom shelf though. The instructions I saw for this have you drilling into the back cover of the bottom book.
Adjustable book ends built into the shelf itself. Another really simple and unique idea. I really like this one.
