As a child I was fascinated with the prospect of creating a secret hiding place inside a book. I’m sure I originally read about it in some young-adult mystery, but I was desperate for my own private safe.
In a rather spastic attempt with a knife and an old hardback dictionary, I proceeded to completely mangle an otherwise good book. I do wish the internet had been more prevelant when I was a child.
